Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing
INSIGMA Engineering develops novel sensor sytems which exploits the optical backscatter in the fiber optic cable to detect and analyze the acoustic vibrations along the fiber installation. We provide and customize solutions for both quasi-distributed (such as FBG sensors) and fully-distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) systems.
Our Signal Indicator and Monitoring Equipment (SIMONE) concept utilizes the Swept Wavelength Laser and Optical Frequency Domain Reflectometry (OFDR) technologies for distributed fiber optic sensing which can be tailored for various industrial applications.
